Disable Teredo W2k8R2

Disable the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface adapter with the command prompt in W2k8R2 to avoid problems/errors when creating a cluster:

  1. Start CMD with “run as administrator”
  2. Type “netsh”
  3. Type “interface”
  4. Type “teredo”
  5. Type “set state disabled”

Disabling Teredo through Device Manager is also possible but this will only disable the Teredo adapter so the system does not see it anymore. However this does not disable the underlying logic.  This could cause issues later, so it is recommended to disable it through the command line.
